At Hirschbach, safety starts with intentional habits. Our Safe 6 principles are simple, powerful behaviors that help our drivers stay focused, prepared, and in control—every mile.

1. Get Ready – Thoroughly prepare to do your important work. This includes making sure yourself and your equipment are ready and safe to roll – and making sure your plan for the day is solid. 
2. Right Speed – Choose the right speed, the speed limit, in ideal situations. Reduce your speed if conditions are less than ideal. 
3. Right Sight – Place your attention on what matters most for the situation you're in. Eliminate distractions.
4. Right Space – Maintain safe following distances and give yourself room to respond.
5. Right Response – Stay calm and choose the right response to hazards and dynamic road situations.
6. Reduce Risk – Make choices that eliminate or minimize risk in every situation.
